Local Elections and European Parliamentary Elections 10th June 2004. As a result of revised ward boundariess all Wakefield's District Councillors are up for election this year. Crofton was formerly paired with Ackworth in the District elections. At the June elections Crofton will be in the same ward (5) as Walton, Ryhill, Cold Hiendley, Notton, Chevet, Havercroft & Bleakley. There will be 3 councillors to elect in the Crofton ward. On the same day will be the European Parliament election.
Don't forget to vote, it is your democratic right. Have you registered to vote - check before April 10th on 01924 305023. The local Elections and European election will be by postal vote only in our area. There will be no voting booths this time in Crofton.
